Multicore processor

In the last few years, multi-core CPUs have become a standard component in nearly all sorts of computers – not only servers and high-end workstations but also desktop and laptop PCs for consumers and even game consoles nowadays usually come with CPUs with more than one core. This development is not surprising; already in 1965 Gordon Moore predicted that the number of transistors that can be cost-effectively built onto integrated circuits were going to double every year WA. In 1975, Moore corrected that assumption to a period of two years; nowadays this period is frequently assumed to be 18 months).

Ultra Capacitors

Super capacitors are new energy storage devices that exhibit such unique features as high capacitance, high power density, and a long cycle. Some required features such as higher stability, durability, and catalytic activity, and a lower cost are crucial for new types of materials used in super capacitors. Carbon derivatives, especially graphene-based systems, are very important materials for energy applications, owing to their physical, morphological, and structural properties. Besides, polymer-based materials have attracted much attention for super capacitor applications. Herein, different polymers and polymer-based carbon derivatives will be discussed as potential electrode materials for super capacitor applications. Finally, all graphene and polymer-based materials developed recently for flexible super capacitor applications are also discussed.

Quantum Computers

Quantum technology is a field of physics and engineering, which aims to provide practical applications of quantum mechanical phenomena like ‘Quantum tunneling’, ‘Quantum superposition’ and ‘Quantum entanglement.’ It has been in use from the 1960’s and still offers a vast potential for development. It offers various advantages over the current ‘Classical systems.’ A Quantum Computer can perform very complex computations at incredible speeds. It offers a more secure transmission of information with the help of QKD. Quantum sensors might help in improving the detection of cancer.

TRI-GATE TRANSISTORS

A tri-gate transistor, also known as a triple-gate transistor, is a type of MOSFET with a gate on three of its sides. A triple-gate transistor was first demonstrated in 1987, by a Toshiba research team including K. Hieda, Fumio Horiguchi and H. Watanabe. They realized that the fully depleted (FD) body of a narrow bulk Si-based transistor helped improve switching due to a lessened body-bias effect. In 1992, a triple-gate MOSFET was demonstrated by IBM researcher Hon-Sum Wong.

linear variable differential transformer (LVDT)

THE linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) is one of the position sensors most used in harsh environments, such as industrial plants, nuclear plants, and particle accelerators, thanks to contactless sensing, good linearity, virtually infinite resolution, low temperature sensitivity, robustness, and easy-to-implement radiation hardness . As an example, LVDT sensors have been selected for the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) collimators, where integrated doses of up to a few MGray per year are expected .

FOG SCREEN

Fog Screen is breakthrough technology that allows projection of high quality images in the air. It is currently the only walk-through projection screen. You can literally use the air as your user interface by touching only the air with your bare hands. The screen is created by using a suspended fog generating device with no frame around, and works with video projectors. The fog they use is dry, so it doesn’t make you wet even if you stay under the Fog Screen device for a long time. The fog is made of ordinary water with no chemicals what soever. With two projectors, you can project different images on both sides of the screen. It is a display device which is the application of computer graphics.

Hydrogen super highway

Intersate Hydrogen Highway was brought up by Justin Eric Sutton. This highway mainly depends on hydrogen and water. Hydrogen is obtained in the basic process that produces electricity when sunlight striking EPV(Electro Photo Voltaic Panels).panels is then used to convert distilled water into hydrogen and oxygen .While the oxygen could be bottled and sold cheaply the hydrogen would serve as a "battery" store in compressed form in cooling tanks adjacent to the traveler system in utility centers. Electricity is produced by hydrogen using hydrogen fuel cell technology. Electricity generated in hydrogen highway by Magnetic Levitation (MAGLEV) technology may be used to provide for other power needs such as utility stations, access stations lightning and maintenance and rest can be used for domestic usage

STLD Assignment

It is the assignment given to the snist people for the better understanding of the STLD subject. Switching theory and logic design subject is very essential core subject for the electronics graduates.

DUAL CORE PROCESSORS

A processor, or "microprocessor," is a small chip that resides in computers and other electronic devices. Its basic job is to receive input and provide the appropriate output. While this may seem like a simple task, modern processors can handle trillions of calculations per second.
