SOLAR TRACKING SYSTEM
Capturing and transforming the sun’s energy into electricity using photovoltaic collection technology has been an ongoing research topic since the early 1960’s. In more recent years, the demand has grown significantly for solar electric power generating systems thus causing the production to rise as well. With the demand for such technology higher efficiency and cost effectiveness has also become a requirement; simply put, higher output power generation is being required with a lower price tag. This demand has paved the way for research groups worldwide to invest time and energy into developing more advanced technologies to suit the needs of the ever growing clean energy industry.

WIRELESS MOBILE CHARGING USING MICROWAVES
With mobile phones becoming a basic part of life, the recharging of mobile phone batteries has always been a problem . The mobile phones vary in their talk time and battery stand by according to their manufacturer and batteries. All these phones irrespective of their manufacturer and batteries have to be put to recharge after the battery has drained out. The main objective of their manufacturer and battery make. In this paper a new proposal has been made so as to make the recharging of the mobile phones is done automatically as you talk in your mobile phone! This is done by use of microwaves. The microwave signal is transmitted from the transmitter along with the message signal using special kind of antennas called slotted wave guide antenna at a frequency is 2.45GHz. There are minimal additions, which have to be made in the mobile handsets, which are the addition of a sensor, a “rectenna” and a filter. With the above setup, the need for separate chargers for mobile phones is eliminated and makes charging universal . Thus the more you talk, the mobile phones is eliminated and makes charging universal. Thus the more you talk, the more is your mobile phone charged! With this proposal the manufacturers would be able to remove the talk time and battery stand by from their phone specifications!
8051 microprocessors
8051 Microcontroller has many features like Serial Communication, Timers, Interrupts, etc. and hence many students and beginners start their work on the concept of Microcontrollers with 8051 Microcontroller (although this trend seems to be changed with the introduction of Arduino). Even though 8051 Microcontroller might seem a little bit out of fashion, we feel that it is one of the best platforms to get started with Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems and Programming (both C and Assembly).
AUTOMATIC VEHICLE LOCATION
A GPS receiver placed in a car can receive signals from these satellites and will calculate the exact location of the car in terms of latitude and longitude. This data can be sent to owner’s computer that can monitor the location. A GSM modem can be integrated into this project for providing security and remote control. The current location of the car can be found out by sending an SMS. The car can also be disabled by sending an SMS.
Meghohmeter
The Megger is the instrument uses for measuring the resistance of the insulation. It works on the principle of comparison, i.e., the resistance of the insulation is compared with the known value of resistance. If the resistance of the insulation is high, the pointer of the moving coil deflects towards the infinity, and if it is low, then the pointer indicates zero resistance. The accuracy of the Megger is high as compared to other instruments. The megger is also used for the continuity test for the transmission cables
