VERY LARGE SCALE INTEGRATION

VLSI stands for "Very Large Scale Integration". This is the field which involves packing more and more logic devices into smaller and smaller areas. Thanks to VLSI, circuits that would have taken board full of space can now be put into a small space few millimeters across! This has opened up a big opportunity to do things that were not possible before. VLSI circuits are everywhere ... your computer, your car, your brand new state-of-the-art digital camera, the cell-phones, and what have you. All this involves a lot of expertise on many fronts within the same field, which we will look at in later sections.

COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY SCAN

There are two main limitations of using conventional X-rays to examine internal structures of the body. Firstly, superimpositions of the 3-dimensional information onto a single plane make diagnosis confusing and often difficult. Secondly the photographic film usually used for making radiographs has A limited dynamic range and therefore only object that have large variation in the X-ray absorption relative to their surroundings will cause enough contrast differences on the film to be distinguished by the eye. Thus, the detail of bony structures can be seen, it is difficult to discern the shape and composition of soft tissue organ accurately.

PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC)

Automation devices such as controllers and data systems and or services. Systems and methods are provided that receive statements or other unit of data interaction from an automation device, provide the statements to an appropriate system or service for processing, and optionally return a response such as a result set. Furthermore, in accordance with an aspect of the invention native controller code, variables, or tags can be mapped to stored data, procedures or combinations of data and/or procedures and updated automatically or semi automatically. A programmable logic controller (PLC) or programmable controller is a digital computer used for automation of electromechanical processes, such as control of machinery on factory assembly lines, amusement rides, or lighting fixtures. PLCs are used in many industries and machines. Unlike general-purpose The subject invention pertains to facilitating communication between industrial computers, the PLC is designed for multiple inputs and output arrangements, extended temperature ranges, immunity to electrical noise, and resistance to vibration and impact. Programs to control machine operation are typically stored in battery-backed or non-volatile memory. A PLC is an example of a real time system since output results must be produced in response to input conditions within a bounded time, otherwise unintended operation will result.

Smart Dust

Advances in hardware technology has enabled very compact, autonomous and mobile nodes each having one or more sensors,computation and communication capabilities ,and a power supply. The Smart Dust project is exploring whether an autonomous sensing, computing and communication system can be packed into a cubic-millimeter mote to form the basis of integrated, massively distributed sensor networks. It focuses on reduction of power consumption, size and cost. To build these small sensors, processors, communication devices, and power supply ,designers have used the MEMS (Micro electro mechanical Systems)technology.

DUAL CORE PROCESSORS

A processor, or "microprocessor," is a small chip that resides in computers and other electronic devices. Its basic job is to receive input and provide the appropriate output. While this may seem like a simple task, modern processors can handle trillions of calculations per second.

Electronic Ink

Electronic paper is a developing technology which is capable of bringing a revolution in the world. It is a display technology using organic electronics designed to mimic the appearance of regular ink on paper. It’s origin is from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT),Cambridge. The technology has been commercialized by the E Ink Corporation, which was co-founded in 1997 by MIT undergraduates J.D. Albert & Barrett Comiskey, MIT Media Lab professor Joseph Jacobson, Jerome Rubin and Russ Wilcox.

In today's world security has been become a myth. So it is s quite important to maintain a good security for things like information which is sensitive like databases, money in bank accounts etc . One of the safest and most secure way of maintaining a password is Iris scan. It's like carrying a password without actually remembering it.

We are living in an age where tasks and systems are fusing together with the power of IOT to have a more efficient system of working and to execute jobs quickly! With all the power at our finger tips this is what we have come up with.The Internet of Things (IoT) shall be able to incorporate transparently and seamlessly a large number of different systems, while providing data for millions of people to use and capitalize. Building a general architecture for the IoT is hence a very complex task, mainly because of the extremely large variety of devices, link layer technologies, and services that may be involved in such a system. One of the main concerns with our environment has been solid waste management which impacts the health and environment of our society. The detection, monitoring and management of wastes is one of the primary problems of the present era. The traditional way of manually monitoring the wastes in waste bins is a cumbersome process and utilizes more human effort, time and cost which can easily be avoided with our present technologies. This is our solution, a method in which waste management is automated. This is our IoT Garbage Monitoring system, an innovative way that will help to keep the cities clean and healthy.
