1- Everyday a priest climes the dome of the temple which is 45 story building and changes the flag.This ritual is followed since 1800 years.

2-The flag at the top of dome of the temple always flies or flaps in the opposite direction of the wind.

3-The construction of the temple is complex. The main temple is surrounded by 30 other temples of different expanses.

4-On entering the temple from Singhadwara, the main door, the ocean cannot be heard till you come out of the temple.

5-The quantity of prasad cooked in the temple remains same everyday.The number of devotees fluctuates from 2000 to 20000 but regardless of the number of devotees, there is no wastage or shortage of prasad till today.

6-The prasad is cooked using 7 pots, one kept on the other in a pile. The interesting thing is that the contents of the top most pot is cooked first.
