Chandrayaan-3: Moon craft is a robotic space mission concept by Japan's space agency JAXA and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) that would send a lunar rover and lander to explore a polar region of the Moon in 2024. JAXA is likely to provide the launch vehicle and the rover, while ISRO would be responsible for the lander.^[6]

The mission concept has not yet been formally proposed for funding and planning. If approved, it would be the third mission of India's Chandrayaan programm.

The mission would demonstrate new surface exploration technologies related to vehicular transport and lunar night survival etc. for sustainable lunar exploration in polar regions. Water prospecting, sample collection and analysis are likely to be mission objectives.
